Enterprise Ireland has rolled out Habitus Health’s AI-powered ergonomics software to more than 900 employees worldwide, in line with government best practice on workplace health and safety. The deployment spans 9 regional offices in Ireland and 42 international locations across 26 countries.

Putting people first in a digital world

Work today looks very different from even a few years ago. Hybrid working, long hours at laptops, and constant reliance on digital devices have become the norm. While this brings flexibility and opportunity, it also carries hidden risks. Poor posture, unsuitable setups, and prolonged screen time are all factors behind musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), now the most common work-related health problem in Europe.

Left unchecked, these issues can cause discomfort, fatigue, and even long-term injury. For employees, that can mean daily pain or reduced energy; for organisations, it often means lost productivity and the human cost of preventable harm.

A proactive step to protect staff

To address this challenge, Enterprise Ireland has deployed two of Habitus Health’s key tools:

Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments – helping employees check their workstation setup and reduce risks.

Real-time discomfort tracking – giving staff a simple way to flag early signs of strain before they become bigger problems.

For staff, this means they can take control of their health at work, wherever they are based. For managers, it provides a clear picture of risk trends across teams and countries – allowing action before issues escalate.

Anna-Marie Turley, Director of Human Resources at Enterprise Ireland, explained the motivation:

“This rollout is about protecting our people and leading by example. As a public agency operating globally, we want to ensure our staff have the right tools to manage health risks wherever they are based. Habitus gives us the intelligence and assurance we need to act early and reduce long-term risk.”

Leading by example

Enterprise Ireland is among the first government agencies to adopt an Irish-built AI health and safety solution at this scale. By doing so, it is showing confidence in Irish innovation and demonstrating how public bodies can use digital tools to improve staff wellbeing.

Ed Harnett, CEO at Habitus Health, said:

“Enterprise Ireland is setting the benchmark for how global agencies can manage work-related risk in the digital age. This rollout is more than compliance — it’s about enabling better decisions through AI, at scale, with data that supports the health and performance of modern workforces.”

A healthier future for modern work

By taking this step, Enterprise Ireland is sending a clear message to its staff: your health matters. This isn’t just about ticking a compliance box – it’s about creating the conditions for people to thrive at work, in Dublin, Dubai, or anywhere in between.

It’s also a reminder that safeguarding wellbeing in today’s digital workplace requires more than awareness – it takes practical action, delivered consistently, and in line with government best practice. Enterprise Ireland’s rollout shows exactly how that can be done.
